a speech showed the chair in the middle

an experiment in creating works through audio description

Danielle Ash, John Harris, Laura Ní Fhlaibhín, and Paul Wood | February 2018 | EnclaveLab, London | curated by Aubree Penney | seating guest curated by Annika Thiems

a speech showed the chair in the middle reimagines audio description as a form of artistic practice, upholding sound as a means of creating and having a visual experience. By elevating audio description from the realm of a translative act, it instead becomes a primary mode of production, a fictioning with the potential to be shared by people of all vision capabilities.

Generously supported by MFA Curating, Goldsmiths College
