Aubree Penney is a curator, artist, and writer at the intersection of public art, history, and justice. Her practice is shaped by disability and chronic illness, foregrounding access, care, and alternative modes of interpretation. She is Associate Curator at Monument Lab. Her work includes programming for the Smithsonian American Art Museum, assistant curating an exhibition on the National Mall, co-leading institutional engagements with the American Museum of Natural History, and producing an exhibition at Enclave composed entirely through image description.
She holds an MFA in Curatorial Practice from Goldsmiths, University of London, and has worked with Tate Modern and the Yinka Shonibare Studio.
